William C. Martindale, Jr.

Bill was a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Conestoga Capital Advisors prior to his retirement in 2014. He continued to serve as Chairman of the Conestoga Funds until November 2020. Bill played a significant role in creating the culture and shared values that are still prevalent at the firm today. From inception through 2013, he served as Co-Portfolio Manager for the firm’s Small- and Mid-Cap strategies. Bill's investment career spanned over forty years, beginning at Dean Witter Reynolds where he acted as Vice President and Manager from 1969 through 1989. In 1989, Bill co-founded Martindale Andres & Company, Inc., where he served as Chief Investment Officer. Bill received a Bachelor of Arts from Gettysburg College in 1964.
